Ebrotours take pleasure in announcing that on 15th August 2010 a new Cicerone walking guide will be published dedicated to their local Natural Park, the Els Ports mountains, as well as the nearby Cardo & Montsia ranges. It's the first walking guide in English devoted to the area for many years and the authors, Philip & Vivien Freakley, have worked tirelessly over the past 2 years to produce an excellent book that will be of invaluable assistance to those who love to self-guide. Margaret & Rob of Ebrotours enjoyed being of assistance to the authors during its compilation & this year will be opening their rural accommodation during the autumn to spring months, particularly to welcome new walkers to the area. Ebrotours will also be continuing to offer a varied selection of guided walks in the region.
Further details of the guide can be found by visiting the publisher's website

For the outdoor enthusiast Central Portugal presents vast opportunities to explore a rich and varied landscape. Unlike many European destinations, Portugal is as yet unhindered by access issues, offering unlimited areas of natural beauty.
For a climber and paddler there are endless crags to scale and waterways to explore. The river Mondego begins as a spring in the Serra da Estrella and winds its way to figeira da Foz , via Coimbra to the Atlantic. It has been dammed and offers a current less deep water way along pine and eucalyptus forests.
