The accommodation consists of a double bedroom with balcony; smaller secondary bedroom with bunks comprising a double lower and single upper; fully fitted kitchen with electric oven, fridge-freezer and microwave; bathroom with wc, bath with overhead shower and wash-basin; and lounge with UK satellite tv, mini hi-fi, two-piece suite, dining suite for 6 and log-burner for the cooler nights
In the gardens (shared with the owners) there is a small swimming pool and sunbathing lawn, gas barbecue and charcoal barbecue kitchen. The gardens mainly consist of orange and olive groves - and what could be nicer than to walk outside and pick your own oranges (organic) to squeeze for your morning breakfast juice. Also when available enjoy fresh produce from the vegetable garden.
Els Ports is famed for its walking and short guided local walks of one to two hours (out of the mid-day sun) can be arranged with the owner, or longer rambles can be made by arrangement with a local guide.
Bird-watching is also possible within the area and among the varieties to be seen are Griffon Vultures (24 seen gliding over the finca on a recent count), Golden Eagles, Black and Red Kites, Bee-eaters and Hoopoes. Further afield, but still within an easy drive is the Ebro Delta where Egrets, Ibis and Flamingoes feature amongst the many species to be seen.
The mountains also contain a variety of other wildlife, so why try to look out for the elusive ibex, the Catalonian wildcat and the wild boar.
The spring flora is immensely enjoyable with wild gladioli, iris, asphodel, poppies and violets amongst the many varieties on offer. At other times of the year rosemary, thyme and lavender fill the air with their fragrant perfume.
Amongst the many activities that can be organised locally are quad-biking, cycling, horse-riding and fishing (the Rio Ebro is famed world-wide for the size of its catfish).
Many of those who enjoy nature also enjoy a natural life-style and the owners are practising naturists when the weather permits and the guests are of a like mind. If you have never experienced nature in the raw then why not give it a try in the privacy of our gardens. Experience the freedom of skinny-dipping, and then go home with an all-over tan which has not been achieved on a sun-bed, but just let us know first that you want to take advantage of this facility.
This property is available from the first week-end in April until the last week-end in October. Breaks of any length are available, apart from the main months of July and August when weekly bookings only are accepted with arrival and departure on any day of the week, except for late availability bookings.
The tariff is for the whole apartment regardless of occupany numbers.
