In a tiny hamlet of the Spanish Pyrenees, an 18th century farmhouse bustles with Spanish conversation and life.  Tables are strewn with Spanish dictionaries, maps and newspapers, plates of olives and glasses of wine.  Spanish lessons are on the terrace framed by the Basque mountains and some of the prettiest landscapes in Europe.

We believe that the Spanish language can not be severed from its people, history or culture which is why our holidays combine formal classes with endless conversation practice.  Native Spanish speakers join us on idyllic country walks as we explore local restaurants and water mills, artisans and fiestas.

Spanish House-Parties
Our unique 'help-yourself-to-food, -wine-and-washing-machine' approach is an important part of our philosophy.  Hosted by native Spanish speakers, our relaxed house-party holidays create a friendly and inspired atmosphere where conversation flows, languages are explored and cultural idiosyncrasies shared.

The Pyrenean Experience is a small, family-run company, based in the Basque Country and personally dedicated to the quality of its holidays and the needs of our guests.   We work with small groups and as many of our guests come alone we ask for NO SINGLE SUPPLEMENTS.
