Welcome to Quintassential Holiday Apartments where four luxurious family / baby friendly self catering apartment cottages are located in an old renovated farmhouse known in Portugal as a “Quinta” in the central Algarve, Portugal offering accommodation from 2 to 13 people.

The Quintassential occupies an acre of hilltop, 1200 feet above sea level, totally fenced and accessed via electric gates 15 minutes from Faro International Airport and the coast and a 5 minute drive north of market town of Loule. The Quintassential is an idyllic holiday destination for those who enjoy the tranquillity of a rural setting yet still wish to maintain easy access to Loule and the rest of the Algarve.

The Quintassential is open all year round so that guests can enjoy the 3000 hours of sunshine the Algarve has to offer. We understand that with low cost airlines it may be better to travel on days other than Sunday or Thursday, so we are flexible with our arrival and departure days. The apartment cottages can be let individually or together for larger travelling parties.

The rustic property is south facing and is set in beautiful Algarvian countryside overlooking Loule town with panoramic sea views and spectacular mature gardens! The road rises gently from Loule for about two kilometres before you turn off on to a steep, unmade track for the last few hundred yards of your journey. On first arriving, you may be surprised by the scale of the panorama afforded by Quintassential's lofty setting, as your eye wanders over the hills down to the distant coast from Faro to Portimão, a view that is particularly entrancing at night and truly beautiful during the day. The Quintassential is an oasis of peace and tranquillity and a place that is quite magical where you will be able to relax, unwind and just enjoy your holiday. The exclusive atmosphere lends itself to celebrate special occasions like honeymoons, birthdays and anniversaries. For the more energetic many pursuits are available within the area including walking, fishing, golf and bird watching to name just a few.

The owners occupy the fifth accommodation at the Quintassential and are always willing to assist with any problems that may arise, happy to share their local knowledge of the area, or a personal recommendation of the local eateries or information about the local wine and cuisine. Their promise to their guests is that they will never infringe on guest privacy of those who simply wish to relax by the lovely swimming pool, that is also heated from 1st October until 30th April to make your swim more enjoyable, unwind in the free standing outdoor hot tub spa jacuzzi or read a book on their shaded terraces overlooking the gardens. This all adds to the relaxed, tranquil style that is the Quintassential and the meaning of Quintassential? “The perfect example of class or quality” our name says it all.

Parts of the Quinta date back to mid 19th Century and have all be sympathetically enhanced during the past couple of years. All the apartment cottages at the Quintassential have their own kitchens, private south-facing sun terraces, brick Bar-B-Q areas and private entrances so you can come and go as you please. All the apartment cottages have been newly decorated and furnished to a very high standard and our attention to detail has been thorough with your comfort always in mind.  Two of the apartments now also have the added benefit of gas central heating for the winter months.
