Cortijo los Lobos is a beautifully restored 200 year old farm house and small, friendly family run horse riding and adventure centre set in the beautiful olive groves of Andalucia, Southern Spain. Our breathtaking mountain views and spectacular off road riding make our flexible horse riding holiday a firm favorite for guests who return year after year.

Our riding trails take you on quiet tracks through shady mountain pine forests, open fields, olive groves and streams. The terrain is ideal for all abilities, with plenty of opportunities for a canter or gallop, or if you prefer to stay in walk and take in the surroundings then that is fine. Our horses are all kind and sure footed and happy to go at the pace you choose.

We offer self-catering accommodation for riders or non-riders who just want a relaxing holiday, as well as full board for those of you who don’t want the bother of preparing food. We have activities to suit every member of your family or group, whatever your age and experience.

understand that not everyone likes horse riding and offer plenty of alternatives for the non horse riding guests. We have mountain bikes for hire and can offer guided walks, Bird watching, Spanish lessons and much more. It is important to us that you enjoy your holiday to the full, and we are happy to tailor your holiday to suit you. If you book a full board package, we will discuss your food and drink preferences before your holiday to ensure that we give you the meals you enjoy. We are happy to cater for vegetarians or other dietary requirements.

Your friendly hosts, Clive and June Wolfe are on hand at all times to ensure that your holiday goes smoothly. We keep our horse riding groups small and like our guests to feel that they are riding their own horses for the week - there are no formal timetables - you are welcome to plan your riding vacation to suit you. We are not a busy riding school, our horses are an extension of our family and are treated as such – whether you are our only guests, or we have another group staying, we aim to give you privacy and exclusivity and the choice to ride when you want to, If you only want to horse ride for a couple of hours per morning and spend the rest of your day swimming in our heated pool, enjoying our landscaped gardens, soaking up the amazing scenery all around or exploring this beautiful, un spoilt corner of Andalucia, then this is fine. If you prefer to devote more of your time to horse riding then this is fine too. You are quite welcome to ride for more hours one day and have a complete day off the next, rather than two hours daily, or if two hours per day is not enough, you are welcome to do more – the choice is completely yours.

If you have children who love horses then we can even offer "own a pony" days where we take care of your children while you have a day off sightseeing. We are very happy to take children horse riding, whatever their age, and our safe, fully fenced gardens are a great environment for children to play in.

Situated just outside the village of Villanueva del Trabuco in the province of Malaga, Andalucia, our location, though quiet and rural, and a taste of ‘real’ Spain, is ideally situated for visiting all the top tourist attractions of southern Spain, such as Granada, Cordoba, Seville and Malaga, (though our farm is in such a beautiful spot that once here our guests often don’t want to go anywhere else!)
