Go Gredos provides information in English about the Sierra de Gredos in Central Spain. It is non profit making and non commercial. The site is designed and maintained by a British couple who live in the region. The Sierra de Gredos forms part of the Sistema Central, together with the Sierra de Guadarrama, that cuts across the centre of Spain from the North East of Madrid towards the border of Portugal, running in a Northeast to Southwest direction. They form a barrier between the Mesetas, the higher plains of northern Castile (now known as Castilla y Leon) and the lower plains of southern Castile (Castilla La Mancha) and Extremadura. The Gredos mountains are an area of Spain that is overlooked by most visitors to the country who imagine that central Spain is comprised solely of hot, dry plains. The central area of the Sierra de Gredos forms the Parque Regional de la Sierra de Gredos - Gredos Regional Park. The regional park covers some 86,236 hectares. Click here for more information |

Ebro Tours provide hiking & birdwatching holidays in Spain. Visit with us two of Cataluña's Natural Parks, the wetlands of the Ebro Delta and the spectacular craggy, limestone massif of Els Ports mountains, which extend into Aragon and Valencia.
Our Spanish rural accommodation is within 30 minutes drive of the Ebro Delta's Mediterranean coast and just a short walk to the mountain trails of the Els Ports Natural Park.
The self-catering accommodation is on our own finca (small fruit farm) consisting mainly of olive and almond trees. It has excellent mountain views and the small village of Els Reguers is only 5 minutes drive away, where you will find surprisingly good restaurants and bars. . More information here |
