Home Wildside Spain Posada Rincon de Alardos
Posada Rincon de Alardos
The Posada is on the Southern side of the Sierra de Gredos mountains in Castilla y Leon in Spain where many activities are offered.

Walking, hiking, birdwatching holidays or just enjoying nature in general. In summer, swimming in the naturally formed rock pools of the many rivers is an absolute pleasure.

This privileged area of Candeleda and the Valle de la Vera enjoy a special climate that favours the growth of Mediterranean plants such as palms, bougainvilleas, kiwis, etc. It is also one of the principal tobacco growing areas in Europe.

All this with the backdrop of the Sierra de Gredos peaks which are covered in snow in the Winter months.

Birds such as bee eaters, red kites, storks, hoopoes and owls are commonly seen at the Posada, and many more can be found in the surrounding area, such as water foul at the Rosarito reservoir only a fifteen minute drive away.
