Where to go and what to see
The Costa de Prata stretches along 200 km in the centre of Portugal from Espinho in the north down to Ericeira. There are lagoons, small villages in the hills, castles, forests, the beautiful pine forest Pinhal do Rei, the Berlengas Islands has good sea fishing and The Berlenga Grande has been declared a National Bird Reserve. Of course there are also many quiet sandy beaches which are considered to be among the finest in Europe.

Towns and villages to visit along the Costa Prata:

Aveiro: "The Venice of Portugal" is famous for its colourfully painted, graceful swan–necked boats.

Conimbriga: with its fine remains of a Roman town.

Nazaré: a small fishing village with a very long beach.

Óbidos: A medieval town, completely walled in.

Torreira: a typical fishing village.

Anadia: is at the centre of the famous Bairrada wine.
