CASA NORMA - QUALITY B&B ACCOMMODATION IN THE SIERRA DE ARACENA NATURAL PARK

Situated in the beautiful white village of Canaveral de Leon and only one and a half hours from Seville, Casa Norma offers a fascinating insight into the 'Real Spain.'

Accommodation is provided in four spacious double/twin/triple bedrooms, with views of the surrounding Sierra.  A large, comfortable lounge with library, satellite TV and music centre is provided for the sole use of guests. In summer, after the day's activities, enjoy relaxing on the patios, with orange, lemon and other fruit trees providing an oasis of shade or in winter, relax in front of an olive wood fire.

WALKING -  Casa Norma is the ideal base from which to explore the Sierra de Aracena National Park, country walks begin from the house.  There is a network of footpaths suitable for both beginners and experienced walkers.  The surrounding villages have a rich heritage, you are never far from a local Fiesta and you will alway be invited to join in.

BIRDWATCHING - is superb all year round.  There are important breeding populations of Black Vultures and Black Storks.  Casa Norma's garden list is extensive including Short Toed and Booted Eagles, Black and Griffon vultures, Red and Black Kites, Sardinian and Sub Alpine Warblers, Bee-Eaters and Golden Orioles etc, etc.

WILD FLOWERS - In Spring, the "Dehesa" is a carpet of wild flowers.  Peonies, iris, wild lilies and a variety of orchids cover the meadows and hillsides.  Wild thyme, lavender and rosemary perfume the air.  Botanists and photographers are spoilt for choice.

Autumn sees the chestnut harvest and a profusion of wild mushrooms - there are more than 700 different varieties of mushroom in the park!  Red Deer begin rutting and the famous black footed pigs are fattened for the traditional matanza.

Peter and Norma live in the house.  Peter is a life long birder and an expert on the flora and fauna of the area, while Norma's main interest is cooking.  Both will do everything to make your stay in this beautiful part of Spain a memorable experience.
